The Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal is an open-air complex, which contains unique buildings of the 17-19 centuries. So, having arrived here (the museum is located on the outskirts of the city), you can look into the hut of a simple farmhand and a wealthy peasant, become a guest of a merchant's house and at the same time visit two churches, built, by the way, without a single nail. Landmarks of Vladimir Region.

All buildings on the territory of the Museum of Wooden Architecture are, without exaggeration, architectural monuments, which, despite the past centuries and remoteness (houses and churches were located in different villages of the Suzdal region), still managed to be collected in one place. But the exhibits of the museum are unique not only from the outside. Local historians managed to recreate the peasant and merchant life of the 17-19 centuries to the smallest detail. Furniture, utensils, handicraft items of that time - this and much more can be seen here during the excursion.

The Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal also displays other buildings, without which not a single peasant village could do. These are mills, sheds, barns, wells ... All this can be seen, touched and thus imbued with the spirit of antiquity.

The Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal also includes two churches: Transfiguration and Resurrection. The temples are made in a traditional restrained style and after almost three centuries have been perfectly preserved, despite the fact that they were erected without any fasteners and nails - only logs and boards.

You can visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal any day from 9:00 to 16:00, except Wednesday and the last Friday of the month. In summer, the complex is open longer - until 21:00. Entrance tickets cost 350 RUB, for schoolchildren and seniors - 150 RUB.

In the Museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal, festive festivities are held every year. So, here you can cheerfully celebrate Maslenitsa, and in the summer (in July) visit a real cucumber festival.
