Suzdal - Russia

Suzdal is one of the most picturesque cities in the Golden Ring. Countless churches and ancient monasteries nestle comfortably on the hilly banks of the Kamenka River, and this landscape has not changed at all for several centuries. Old paintings by Russian artists seem to come to life here. The theme of Old Russian flavor is also supported in the tourist infrastructure: there are many semi-antique restaurants here, and traditional Russian holidays are celebrated on a special scale. There are always a lot of tourists in the city: it is the third most visited city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. Russian Traditions - Culture

The pearl of the city is the Spaso-Euthymius monastery with mighty walls and towers of the 17th century and snow-white churches hiding inside. Bells ringing here every hour. Compared to the monastery, the Suzdal Kremlin seems quite small with the city's museum and the ancient Nativity Cathedral, which has preserved  beautiful paintings of the 13th-17th centuries. Within walking distance from the Kremlin - the shopping arcade of the 19th century Gostiny Dvor, where now they sell souvenirs with might and main. On the other bank of the Kamenka River, there is an interesting Museum of Wooden Architecture, to which ancient buildings from all over the region were brought. You can go to many houses in it and get acquainted with the reconstructed life of merchants and peasants. Russian Mentality

One of the most atmospheric places in Suzdal is the Intercession Monastery. His story is dramatic: Russian rulers sent their unwanted wives here. The monastery is active to this day (although no one is exiled here anymore). You can see the graceful snow-white churches of the 16th-18th centuries, in which noble prisoners once prayed. Other churches and monasteries of the city are also interesting, mostly built along Lenin Street - the main one in Suzdal. All of them, despite the huge flow of visitors, have preserved the spirit of antiquity. Must See Sites in Yekaterinburg City

Suzdal is a city that is pleasant to walk around. The usual urban development is also colorful: many huts boast carved wooden decorations. Film directors come here to shoot historical films, and tourists to immerse themselves in the past. This is especially true on Maslenitsa, which is celebrated here magnificently: with fights of geese and festive processions. And the Suzdal low-alcohol mead made from honey with spices, sold in branded kiosks, is a great opportunity to complement the aesthetic pleasure with gastronomic ones.
